It's been a tough couple of weeks and today I had time to sit and reflect in everything that has happened. I am a firm believer that thigs happen for a reason, but it still sucks. I have come to realize that sometimes things happen and you have no control over them, it is best to leave it alone.
Not everyone knows the whole story about several things. Communication is key to just about anything. A fight with a loved one, a disagreement with your boss, frustration with your child's teacher. All this can be resolved with talking it out. However with that said sometimes only one party wants to listen and work it out, while sadly the other has no desire to fix things.
This has happened several time to several people I know with teachers. Which breaks my heart. But how far do we keep talking to a wall before we have had enough. When do we simple act, or give up?
This will be a question that will go on for a really long time. We look at people and judge them expecting them to understand what we have been through, or knowledge of. But it doesn't mean a hill of beans if the other party isn't listening. So this Thanksgiving day, give thanks for understanding of one another. Listen to what we all have to say, and know that we don't have to like it, but the willingness to listen goes a long way!
